very poor mobile signal

iv got two samsung s7s on contract and both of them have very very poor signal i live in devon and iv tried following the steps on the vodafone website and nothing has worked to improve the signal

Does signal improve if you travel to a different area @Xeno ?

If so Input your postcode in the following link to see if anything is reported for your local masts. 

Vodafone Network Checker.

If all reports ok then zoom out on the map to check surrounding masts. 

If its poor signal everywhere then as a process of elimination to rule out the sim card or phone that maybe at issue try your SIM card in another phone and another SIM card in another phone.

the checker says i should have signal phones work with different sims and sims work in different phones when i travelled for work up north to pick up some stuff my signal improved

So just to clarify when you travel away from your local masts your SIM card and phones attain better signal.

This indicates to me something is thdn occurring in your home area. 

Vodafone has a specific form template to use in order to get a better handle on what's happening.
