vodafone tab II unresponsive.

Hi. I have a Vodafone Tab II
My daughter installed a wallpaper from the Play store and the device will not unlock.
I've tried to do a soft reset - that didn't work. I can't do an hard reset since I can't access the tablet.
Will this be covered by my warranty? Or any advice as to how I can resolve this?
