Hi there,
(1)
Is it still that using a third party router requires to chat with the support team to have the user/password required for VDSL connection, or is it provided along with the router or by email as many do, the day of the activation?
(2)
In case it must be requested via chat as it was in the past, do I have to connect the Vodafone router first, at least once?
(3)
Can I ask the user/password before the line goes live or at least the same day (obviously using another internet connection, e.g. via mobile)?
Just to know how disruptive could be to switch.
Thanks

1. Yes
2. Yes.
3. No. Your service should be activated (provisioned) with the vodafone router before you can plug anything else in. The rovisioning server creates your PPPoE user/password.

However I prefer the TT/PS way: the first ha no user/pass at all, for the second is known in advance because it's the same of the online account. That way, no need to unpack the ISP router at all. I can switch without the need to touch the hardware. Maybe Vodafone could rethink that...
