My broadband drops out if I am not sat on my router, any ideas on how to resolve this

How long has your service been activated @Richhowell362 ?
What-should-I-do-if-I-m-having-problems-with-broadband-connectivity.
May I ask is this affecting all the devices your trying to hook up ?
Or if it's the router that might be at issue then I'd suggest to contact the Broadband Team who will if they agree it's the router arrange for it to be swapped out.
