City Fibre ONT

My ONT today was orange for DATA and ethernet speed was sub 100 on 900.

Pulled all wires from router and still same, pulled the rj45 from ont to router, replugged and went green but no Internet connection.

Changed the WAN from 2.5GB to normal one and worked, changed back to 2.5GB, still working.

Any idea why this could be? Router is Asus ax86U pro still within warranty.

Are you sure you weren't expecting a connection too quickly? For the past 4-5 months I've had to wait 5 minutes after a reboot.

The orange could indicate a 10/100 connection, so maybe check or substitute the ethernet cable.

I checked the WiFi and that was 180 on my phone.

If the line somehow dropped to 100, WiFi wouldn't have been over 100? The Amber was the connection from ONT to router.

Thanks

Then I don't know. The Cityfibre ONTs I've installed don't have a "DATA" LED on them.

Apparently Nokia ONT flashes Amber when connected to 2.5GBPs port on the router according to support.

I'd try to find the Nokia documentation if possible as sometimes support gets it wrong.

We fix Callix ONT's for cityfibre so I'm a bit lost with this one.

All I can suggest is don't use the 2.5 WAN of you don't get more than 1Gig on the fibre.
