Hello,
Does anyone have instructions telling me exactly how to configure my TP LINK ADSL Modem Router Model: TD-W9970 in order to establish a connection to home broadband ?
The Vodafone supplied modem/router will regularly stall and require a reboot as least 3-4 times a week.
I would like to try my TP LINK modem router and see if the connection proves stable.
Thank you

Hi
You would need a VF Line username and password.

Thats a pretty old and feeble router to be honest!
In advance as has already been mentioned you'll need to get your username and password from Vodafone.
With that info in hand plug the router into the mains and reset it, then connect it to the VDSL filter in your phone socket. Connect to the router ideally using a cable, and run the setup wizard, honestly, that should work, and it'll only take a couple on minutes!

Thanks for the help so far...
My TPLINK with former ISP Plusnet did the job, never dropped out, and with only 2 users looking at news websites, we were hardly putting it under all load at all. My needs now have not changed..
In comparison with the Vodafone router, well, I will hold my tongue...
Here is what i have attempted today -
Dug out Vodafone paperwork and obtained username & password
Checked old text to me from Vodafone showing username and password
Chat with Vodafone staff today confirming the above username & password
Plugged in the TPLINK - logged on and triggered auto setup
After 5 minutes, connection established, please see as below for connection info -

The issue is that this part as below never seems to connect even after 20 mins - it flips between 'connecting' & 'disconnected'

AFAIK correct username & password input.
If I plug the vodafone router back in, after 10 mins all is well.
Perhaps my router is not compatible with Vodafone & BT infrastructure ?
Any clues about what do to next ?
Thanks all....
