My son got a PS5 and tried to connect it. It did not connect using WiFi so we tried an ethernet cable but still no connection. It seems to connect to router but not to internet.
The error message is:
Can't connect to the Internet your Internet service provider or your router might be preventing your PS5 from connecting to the Internet.
Any ideas what we need to do to make it work?

If it's "pre-owned" then check that the networking doesn't have settings that are currently incompatible with your Vodafone router - when you think it's working try performing a speed test. Unfortunately, there is another possibility, where Sony is known to be deliberately "bricking" stolen PS5s! If you can't get it to connect then you may want to return it to where it came from!

Did you get a resolution to this? I get the same message trying to connect to a Vodafone booster. It was working before but it started connecting to main router. Reset everything, forgot network and tried connecting to booster again but get the message you're getting now.
