Connection cuts out only during Microsoft Team calls?

My 80Mbps vodafone broadband is working perfectly with my online streaming on Smart TV & personal laptop, FaceTime on iPhone etc.

However it keeps cutting out when I use my work laptop for Microsoft Team calls. I don't understand how the broadband doesn't work properly with this specific device. The company laptop uses VPN, but that shouldn't affect the connection should it? Anything to do with the router setting? Hope someone can help as I'm heavily relying on MS Team to work from home!! Thank you

Hi @Chinguin 👋 Is this only happening with Teams while on the VPN or are other services affected also while you are connected to the VPN, also if you are connected by WiFi is it possible to try a wired connection and see if the issue persists?

Hi @Andy only my work laptop which uses VPN has this issue. I can use iPad or iPhone as back up, re-connect to the MS Team calls while the laptop refreshes the network. Personal laptop, other devices unaffected and they are not on VPN.

I will try to use wired connection but my desk is far from my router so not a practical long term solution. I find it very strange it had worked perfectly for months. I wonder if it's anything to do with me updating the DNS server?

Follow-up: I have resolved the issue using powerline adapters, connecting my laptop to wired connection. My IT support explained some routers have the issue of switching frequency during use for certain devices. This would cut out the signal for particular devices but do not affect the others. Sounds plausible but I have no way to verify.
