Hi all,

My Vigor 130 has since installing it been very inconsistent and has had very frequent drops. It is paired with the USG. My speeds seem to also have been limited to 15mbps when before we were getting 60+. Ive noticed a few people have had the same issues but not really found a fix. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks

Unless you've a faulty device then the UK version of the Draytek Vigor130 should "just work", there are very few settings to change.  Using a non-UK version though can be problematic due to some regional versions using not only different code/interface but slightly different hardware.

My own Vigor130 as of tonight!

It may be a pain, but if you still have your VF router, you can always try using it for a bit to see if that does the same (in which case it's a cabinet or wiring issue).

If you have the euro version of the Vigor130, then as far as I'm aware there is no fix!

Hi - I know this is very late after your message but just got Vodafone broadband and a Vigor 130 to work with my Netgear Orbi router

Can you help me with the very few settings to change that you mention?

I've changed the DSL Mode to VDSL2 only and the VDSL2 Tag value to 101 but that's it

Thanks

Charlie

That's pretty much all you NEED to change on the modem, though I'd use the MPoA setting at it can offer some other minor performance benefits.

The other changes that you'll need to make are in the Netgear Orbi management pages:

You'll need to set the the connection type to: PPoE (PPoA should also work)

Username in the format: 123456 "at-symbol" broadband.vodafone.co.uk   *as obtained by calling VF

Password:  A1B2c3  *as obtained by calling VF

And that's your basic set up.

ASUS Wireless Router RT-AC86U - Internet Connection.pngThe above shows my WAN settings using Asus Merlin firmware on an RT-AC86U, including the return channel (with the modem set up with the IP 192.168.5.1 - the default is 192.168.2.1 if I remember).
