Hi, I just received my gigabox and trying to hook it up to my playstation 4, it appears I've been stuck with a Nat Type 3, I've tried all the usually things like port forwarding and static IP, upon research I've seen plenty of others with this same problem with Vodaphone yet not a problem on 3, as I'm still within my timeframe to return the product I'd like to know if there will be a fix for this? I believe public ips are what is needed but according to other threads Vodaphone don't do this (yes I've changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) is this something that is going to be addressed or should I just cancel now as paying 50 pound a month for restricted gaming is far too much for me.
Any help that would be appreciated.
Thanks!

It’s about £40 for a pi then god knows how much hours forum reading and YouTubes :’( Thankyou Vodafone for making a simple task of connecting a gaming device to the internet 50 thousand times more complicated .|.

If I was in your shoes I would seriously take it back. Don't full into the same trap of waiting for a fix like I did. There are threads going back to this since 2017 Vodafone don't give a ##~## they just pay lip service nothing more.

Only option is for three to hurry up with 5g coverage . But I hope they don’t pull the same scam with NAT dramas on thier 5g hubs

I used three on 4G without issues, they don't seem to use CGNAT Like Vodafone. But as many will know Three is oversubscribed on 4G with not great speeds. On 5G however they won a ton more spectrum than anybody else so should be able to offer a decent service.

Every time this issue is brought up no moderators on this forum or any advisors in the call centres seem to know what we are talking about and think it's a new issue despite these several 2+ page threads dating back for well over a year.
Several ideas have been put forward by the community and nobody at Vodafone can provide an answer.
I managed to return mine within the 2 week trial period, False advertising at its finest- tying you into £50 a month contract.
Disappointing.

They've probably been told to deny it's an issue as they would have to advertise it if they acknowledge the issue.

when I have called and described the problem the call has gone along the lines of "uh uh uh uh mhmm, right ok Mr... so I'm sorry to hear about that issue, the good news is I'm sure to help you today, what I would like you to do for me is go to your computer and type in 192.168" when you try to to interrupt and explain it's a known issue and it's on the Vodafone forum they say " right ok so these steps will resolve your issue we have to go through them before I can do anything else do not worry we will get you up and running, so how has your day been today?" It's like pulling teeth and they have the audacity to call themselves tech support utterly laughable.
