My ont installed by open reach engineer inside outhouse/front porch because engineer said is not allowed to install anywhere else in house! so wi-fi not reliable especially upstairs/rear of house, it's intermittent WiFi!
I complained to Vodafone and now I'm awaiting another engineer call out, hopefully to correct botched job!
reading from other open reach information of ont installation engineer could connect a RJ 45 socket from ont and then running a compatible cable RJ 45 through to living room to another RJ 45 socket, similar route to the original copper cable BT/open reach installation which has original line sockets!

Vodafone Full Fibre - 70 .
And why does my wi-fi struggle to reach every part of the building IE intermittent? Because the MJ Quinn/ OR engineer who told me he's self employed, said he's not allowed to install ont inside main house beyond where he installed ont and router IE inside outhouse front porch, inside utility cupboard with electric and gas meter with copper pipes (more interference) next to electric freezer (more interference) behind cupboard door, router next to brick wall (even more interference) also behind heavy internal/external upvc flood door with plated aluminum internal panels (yet again more interference) furthest most area away from main house! OR engineer said "oh yes you will get perfectly good wi-fi" what a load BS 💩😡 . OR engineer just wanted an easy option and quick dart. That's why he installed in outhouse front porch and yes I was there 😡.
I've now just been on phone to Vodafone support over an hour to get clarification of my lift and shift on 29th January, the VF guy put me on hold while he spoke with open reach and confirmed that engineer will now install inside living room area either the ONT or a RJ45 socket from outhouse front porch to living room, at no additional costs to myself! I will believe it when I see it 🤞🙄 also I complained about all the faffing IE intermittent WiFi and the mess OR engineer left IE dirty paw prints all over paint work, muddy all over floor, drill dust left discarded cable left on fence etc and topped it off with big bag of loops of cable, off cuts etc! 😡 OR engineer was really very professional, courteous and respectful of customers property! ***** NOT*****😡
Apparently vf support manager to phone me regards possible compensation for all of the above and the whole faffing debacle 🙄

@PATEO1963 Fibre 70, that's a new one (well it is to me anyway).
You were there and he made all that mess! I'm surprised you didn't make him clean up.

Fibre 70 also know by VF fibre 2!
I should of asked him to clear mess up, but he took me outside to inspect the weather cover he slap dashed onto outside of porch wall with loads of silicone glue which hasn't really worked as cover hanging off! Then he done a runner 🙄

@PATEO1963 But F2 is FTTC so you shouldn't need an ONT installed. However, thanks VF for misleading advertising, there's also Full Fibre 2 mentioned which is 80/20 FTTP which does have an ONT installation, but that's not a Open Reach but City Fibre.
It's great when marketing departments mix terminology.

No it will be Openreach, the speeds will be 73/18 or possibly 100/18. If it were CityFibre the up/down speeds would be the same.
Edit: Unless Openreach have different speeds in different parts of the country.

@Jayach I was only going by Dr. Google told me 😎

Yes. Your issue is with vodafone, not the engineer (despite the little white lie).

I believe it's a joint responsibility, until I receive the advertised service/product that I signed up for!

My issue/complaint has now been resolved! Vodaphone support manager phoned me and we had a video call so I could show them the problem IE where the engineer botched job was and vf support manager said that the Open reach engineer was wrong to install ont and router within outhouse front porch and which forced me to have to place router within utility electric meter cupboard! VF support manager gave me two options 1. have open reach engineer lift and shift ont inside living room or 2. Vf support manager would send me a free WiFi booster. So I've opted for free WiFi booster and if it solves my intermittent WiFi signal then I will be very happy 😊 well done vf, they have helped me hopefully solve all this headache because of some lazy sod open reach (MJ Quinn) self employed and self centered engineer, who couldn't careless about anyone but himself and cutting corners just so he could go home early!(Christopher Liverpool L27) you know who you are 😡
Now I'm going to report Christopher to BT/open reach for his unprofessional behavior and actions, VF have strongly advised me to do this. Especially as Christopher also left me with a terrible mess to clear up after Mr lazy, plus will have to get painter/decorator to repaint wall after Christopher left his big dirty paw marks over it😡 BTW I'm in my 80s a disabled so unable to paint wall! Hopefully BT open reach will pay for decorator 🙄
