Help with ASUS RT-AX 86S not connecting to ultrahub

Hi...I'm freaking out here.

I am trying to link my Asus router in Access Mode to the Ultrahub. I also have a phone line so they both need to be connected.

I have tried the ethernet from ONT to the Asus - nothing happens and Have connected both together - ONT to Ultrahub LAN and Ultrahub WAN to ASUS LAN and again nothing. It's impossible to get to the ASUS GUI as It won't connect to the internet.

I actullay had this set up recently without any issues (had to do nothing) and have also reset the Asus to factory settings via reset button and did the set up as described in the manual (which i didn't even read before...Please help is you can - TIA :Winking_smiley:

I have connected the ethernet cable from VF LAN to ASUS WAN and it's just the same...Any ideas?  ;/

@P1x3l8 Firstly, I've read this twice and am still not sure of what you have done, so, assuming

ONT -> THG -> Asus is what you have, and it's ONT to THG WAN, THG LAN to Asus WAN.

Then if both routers are on 192.168.1.x

put the Asus on 192.168.20.1, turn on its DHCP and WiFi, tell it the gateway is 192.168.1.1 (assuming that is the THG router address)

Tell the THG to stop serving DHCP and turn off it's WiFi

So this bit... My VF router ip is 192.168.1.1 and the Asus is 192.168.50.1 so does that mean I don't have to do anything else or do i still follow your guidance for DHCP and wifi? If I do have to change the settings how do i tell the Ultrahub to stop serving DHCP? Sorry about this ;/

@P1x3l8  Ah you're double NATing. OK, then let the Asus do DHCP for 192.168.50.x and make sure it's gateway is 192.168.1.1. In the THG turn of WiFi but DHCP will not be a problem because nothing will be asking, so make its range 192.168.0.3 to 0.10 AND make the Asus router address 192.168.1.2 so the THG sees it upstream.

OK - Getting confused... the Asus address just now is 192.168.50.1 but you want me to change it to 192.168.1.2?   Also, how do i ensure the asus gatweway is 192.168.1.1 and regards changing the Ultrahub wifi range - how do i do that..sorry!!!

You mean power led on and 2.4GHz, 5GHz and usb flashing?

Double check you have the power supplies connected to the correct routers. if they are then factory reset as outlined above with the WPS button. If that doesn't bring it back to life post on the asus forums on snbforums:

somehow your original post has been quoted when I was replying to your last. The advice stays the same.

Hi...I'm very sorry I missed your post regards using the WPS button - That worked so I'm just reading through your posts now and will apply the numbers etc...One thing though is in the browser my VF router has a different IP frpm the Asus router?

That would be correct. LAN is seperated from WAN. If they had the same IP ranges there would be collisions.

One good thing from this is you'll still be able to access the vodafone settings from the asus network.

So my VF router ip is 192.168.1.1 and the Asus is 192.168.50.1 so does that mean I don't have to do anything else or do i still follow your guidance for DHCP and wifi? If I do have to change the settings how do i tell the Ultrahub to stop serving DHCP? Sorry about this and my repetition but i find this forum structure quite difficult to get my head around ;/
