How do I get my internet user name and password?

I have VodaFone broadband for 10 days with the new-ish 3000 router. 
The router seems really iffy - the wifi connection regularly drops  -when it does I cannot ping the router or access the router page (192.168.1.1).

I am working from home due to current cirumstances and this is a genuine PITA - I have regular video conferences and it looks amateur.

I would like to try my old router (BT Home Hub),  as this was rock-solid.
In order to configure it I need the internet username and password that the Vodafone router uses..
How do I get hold of these?
