Bought a Vodafone Power Hub online (new, boxed) and thought I would be able to simply swap it out with my existing Vodafone router. However, the "Internet" LED stays red and the LED on the front is flashing red. Also my VOIP phone doesn't work. Do I need to contact Vodafone to "Enable" my new (to me) Power Hub or should it work out of the box?
I am FTTP and the fibre modem is all green. Reinstating my "Old" Vodafone router has everything working normally.

The router you bought is provisioned on a different, likely dead account. You may have a chance of getting vodafone to provision it to your account but that chance is very small.
