Spoiler
Every once in a while I reset with a power cycle because sometimes I like to perform a full factory system reset every 6 to 12 months.  I tried setting up my old Windows 10 PC when I get through to signing into My Microsoft account to set up the PC I couldn’t get on the login screen but when I set it up a username and password without Microsoft Account when I set it up Windows Update would refuse to work. But I reset the router and preferred the reset again it worked.

@Anonymous A power cycle is not a factory reset, that has to be done with the tiny pin-hole on the back.

The MS account issues is likely due to your pc has the Windows default IP address settings and so can't connect properly. You need to either reset the network port via Control Panel or restart the computer, which is probably quicker.

Yes I know that you can power cycle ether unplug 10 to 30 seconds restart from the settings both will retain settings last but not last you can ether full factory reset from the settings or full factory reset from pinhole both with lose configuration. am not that daft.
