Hi all - hope you can help.

I've finally given up with my Vodafone router - following a trawl of this forum and bought myself a TP-LINK AC1600

I've followed these steps :

I got my user name and password from vodafone.
put a "@broadband.vodafone.co.uk" on the username
checked the VLAN checkbox
added 101 as the vlan id
entered the username and password
it won't connect.

I've seen somesuggest I need to enable 802.1Q - I can't find a setting for that anywhere.

Can anyone help ?

I may have an answer (which will have to wiat until I get home to check)

I was using the "@broadband.vodafone.co.uk" after my user name.

I have a business account and should be using "@businessbroadband.vodafone.co.uk"

Just to report back to say I am now connected.

This might be useful for anyone on business broadband and trying to use a third party router - use "@businessbroadband.vodafone.co.uk" after the username supplied by vf when setting up the router.

That's good news . That's why the advise link says use live chat and copy and paste then you cant get it wrong . . Glad the link helped

Hi,

I'm also trying to connect a TP-LZINK AC1600 router but having no luck.

I've called Vodafone twice and confirmed my user name an password twice. I also have VLAN 101 set and connection type as PPPoE.

Is there anything I need? The error message I get is "Internet disconnected".

Thanks.

If you don't have the chat transcripts then get them to send you an email with the un and password in it.  Soooo often it's just come down to VF support getting numbers and letters mixed up due to the font used on their screens.
