I've checked my gigabox's LAN speed and it says all the ports are at 100mb when our actual speed is around 400 - 450mb. I usually get around 400 - 450mb on wifi but the ethernet speed is locked to around 90 - 100mb. I am using a cat 6 cable and the ethernet port on my computer is capable of reaching 1gb.

How are you verifying 10GBps through the router, the switch in the router would drop this to 1GBps?

Internal systems set up are capable of 10gbps, this is for internal lan,
This in turn os then connected to the vf router (knowing it is only 1gbps connection) for external connection only

So, on your 10GBps switch is it possible to monitor the local throughput being sent to the Vodafone router? Just grasping at straws as it's hard to track down the wired switch capabilities of the Vodafone router.

At the moment no,.
So I've been testing so much lately I'm going cross eyed,
Main pc with a cat6 direct line is maxed at 100, (settings in the network adaptor to 1gbps)
Laptop on the same line is getting full band width,
All drivers have been testing

If a laptop is getting 1GBps over the same cable that a desktop PC is only getting 100MBps, that would normally indicate there is a problem with the network card on the desktop PC - while uncommon, it does happen!

Ive been checking this too, Confirmed 1Gbps full duplex.
Im running full 1GBPS between all internal systems, even disconnecting the router and using a Laptop in its place to PC switch to stress test the network.
Pc & NAS to 1Gbps Switch, Cat 6 through to router,
PC and NAS are linked at 1gbps,
router lan port = 100Mbps,
Swap Router to Laptop (Laptop to PC / NAS) = full 1Gbps link.
Im stummped as I've done as much testing and combinations of equipment as I can and im always getting the same result, full link speeds at 1Gbps between all devices apart form the LAN port on the router.
I did another test with the laptop to router again tonight just to make sure, but this didnt give more than 100 also now.

There is something wrong with the PC. Simples.

Have you found a solution for this yet?
I just upgraded to Pro Fibre 900 and cannot get anywhere near that kind of speed. When speaking to support they won't take my word that the connection speed is less than the 450 guaranteed minimum. At best sat next to the router connected at 1300mbps I'm getting an average of 250 - 300mbps.
When attempting to test through the LAN I'm getting 94mbps and can see the ports are limited to 100mbps despite using cat 6 and confirming the connection is running at 1000baseT on the network adapter.
Pretty much I'm in ongoing arguements with vodafone support because they can't get that the ports are not working at gigabit speeds and its easier for them to blame my kit rather than look at the issue.

.@jsparkes This is a bit of a stale thread.
Some Wi-Fi chips/devices do not like being too close because of the signal strength and/or channel overlap.
You could check the LAN port chipset and whether it needs a driver update. Sometimes Microsoft drops poor drivers and if you go to the OEM you can get a result. Similar would apply with iOS I would guess. In the wonderful world on *nix you may get a pre-baked driver from the OEM or have to compile your own, or at the worst get a new network card.
