Hi, first post. This problem is really puzzling me. LAN won't connect to anything but WAN connects to everything apart from my laptops. My laptops can see other networks in the area but my Vodafone doesn't show at all. I can connect my laptops to the internet via an Ethernet cable.
I had big issues connecting my printer wirelessly but somehow I managed it in the end.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

One is windows 7 and one is windows 10 I think. I've moved recently and they used to find the Wi-Fi at my old house.

But why are they finding my neighbours etc? It's got to be something to do with the router?
Why can't any of my devices connect to the router if I use LAN?

Can you see why I think we have a problem with terminology?
I think you are saying you're trying to connect your ONT to the LAN ports, if not can you explain just what you mean.

The W7 one could be as old as 2008, so that's a lot of reasons it is not connecting. However here are some ideas to check;
connect to different router LAN ports
connect with different cables
connect WiFi using WEP2
connect with Windows firewall off
go to Windows settings and ensure the network ports are on automatic configuration
connect to LAN, go to Windows network settings and check the IP address is starting 192.168
make sure the laptop is no closer to the router than 2m
make sure that the laptop is looking for the SSID with the same character case as the router
that'll do for now

Perhaps because your neighbours aren't using channel 12 or 13?
We need to find just what channel your router is using to move forward.

How do I find that info?

@Tuffers1875 There's a Windows command called sysinfo. Give that a try it should provide the answers.

You log into the router, go to the last tab marked Status & Support, and scroll down to the heading
Main Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz.

Your Wi-Fi must be working as you have said you have connected various other devices to it.
If the ;laptops aren't "seeing" the router's SSID, there a a couple of possible reasons, but to start have you got compatibility mode on, as I suggested earlier?
Edit, just which router do you have, as neither of the current router have a RED light for the LAN. (AFAIK)

Compatibility mode is on.
