Any news if Vodafone plan to release a new wifi 6 hub soon? New BT wifi 6 hub expected July so still surprised Vodafone have not specced their hub with it. The addon extender with it is of little help.

A very good question @TAP! No plans as of yet, however, if you're on one of our Pro broadband services, we can supply additional WiFi Boosters if needed. Just chat with the WiFi Xperts who will run some tests and help with any WiFi issues that you're facing. You can find the specialist team on live chat here.

Hello there. I,m Italian guest who lives in UK.Just for let you know about “new” Vodafone Hub wi-fi 6 that is already exist in Italy since almost 2(TWO!)years!
Because Vodafone Headquarter is in UK....It sound quite strange about this DELAY!!
Ok, my question for true experts: I have a FTTH at home with an(horrible and oldest) Hub by Vodafone connected via ONT(optical network terminal). This awful Hub is wired to ONT via Ethernet Cat8 to to maximize the Fiber speed and lower dispersion wired.Hence the question: Can I connect strait away the fiber coming from outside to a "new Vodafone Hub wi-fi 6" that comes from Italy? The doubt is that the Italian optical type is compatible with the English one and that once the fiber cable is connected, everything goes automatically without problems. And above all if and what benefits there will be, thanks to those who will be able to answer with absolute certainty of saying exact things.

The Italian router is not the same as the new UK WiFi device, and it's likely that the Italian device will not work on Vodafone UK - the settings will be different, and it's unlikely that compatible settings could be pushed to the router.
Regards "true experts" FTTH is usually supplied using a G.Fast connection over the phone line, no ONT required.

The Pro II router is apparently WiFi6e. Why exactly because for the majority of users who don't live in apartments/flats the density of WiFi routers shouldn't make it necessary.

As WiFi6e is the latest standard, why not have it? All the functionality of WiFi6 is there plus 6Ghz, but you don't have to use it.
I must say I'm no expert on Wi-Fi standards, but usually the latest is best.

Because WiFi6e works on a different frequency, so rather than a dual-band router, you need a tri-band router, and if you cram in more radios you actually reduce the range a little! And oh can you imagine tech support trying to get their heads around this!

But the router still does Wi-Fi6, so where is the problem? Having Wi-Fi6e doesn't stop Wi-Fi6 working.
The 6Ghz is an addition, not a replacement.

If it's done properly and explained to customers properly then there is no problem! But we're talking Vodafone here!
Question: How many WiFi6e devices does anyone here have? Personally we have one phone here!
