No broadband

Had broadband fitted last Monday. Stopped working Saturday. Power light and Internet light stable. Red light flashing. Connection reg failed? Tried everything. Done chat online. Passed to tech team. Anything else I can try while I wait for their contact? Am plugged into a phone extension, have no major socket.

If the power and internet lights are stable (hopefully white) what is flashing red?

You should have a master socket with a test socket inside (unless your wiring is really old) it should be the first socket that the BT line goes to.

Thank you for the replies. An open reach engineer has been and found it is indeed the line coming into the house. The main socket was very old. Been replaced now! All is good.
