Hello, running into an issue with our broadband we set up about a month ago.
Up to this point, everything had been working fine, my PC is upstairs while the router is downstairs, but the speed has been good and I had not run into any problems.
However, since a few days ago, I have been having issues with my connection, and it only happens between this PC and the Vodafone wifi. Using my phone hotspot is fine, every other device is fine, even other devices next to the PC are fine. Nothing has changed with the PC, and nothing's changed with the router.
The problem I'm facing is that nearly every web page I try to load for the first time in a session I get this error:
___ took too long to respond.
If I refresh the page, there's a high chance it will fix itself. Connection works fine after that, and I can usually reopen that site without issue until a few minutes later when it decides to break again. Not every site has this issue, some seem to need more tries than others.
However, there are some sites that straight up do not work, and some programs which are unable to connect to anything. I tried to run an internet speed test, and it simply would not load. This forum, I tried to make an account and the form would not load (had to use hotspot to get on here.) The biggest problem, however, is my anti-virus (ESET) cannot connect to the update server. All these issues go away when I use my mobile hotspot, it is just when connecting to the wifi, and only on my PC. Nothing else has this problem, and as I mentioned it worked fine for a few weeks and has only started acting weird a few days ago.
I've tried the following:
Rebooting the router/pc multiple times.
Changing DNS details to Google and Cloudflare (tried both through the Power Hub site and on my PC.)
Turning firewall on and off.
Disabled IPv6.
Setting up a second compatibility WIFI connection with and without 5ghz.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I was wondering if there could be some sort of security setting that's blocking my PC somehow, but I'll take any advice people can give.
Thank you.
