This is occurring randomly but spaced apart at least 30 mins, from 6am to midnight. It's very strange. I've had fiber for a few years and its been solid as rock, and I've never had the fiber dropping before. The only issue I had before is the cat6 ethernet cable from router to ONT got twisted and would sync at 100mbit instead of 1000.

Okay. IPv6 was turned off everywhere in the router so I'm not sure where/how those DHPCv6 requests are coming from,.

@jnaro First guess is a Windows computer. The network device settings have tick-boxes for v4 and v6.

yea so I unchecked ipv6 and also noticed the ONT<>router link was at 100mbps, so went back to LAN1 and its 1000 again. I assumed all ports on this router were 1000 but maybe not.

@jnaro The ports are (should be) all 1000. You may have either a duff port or a wonky cable, I think the cable is the more likely.

the thing is, I didn't change the WAN port, that's cat6 to the ONT. But it resynched at 100mbit. I think this router is ##~##. the LAN ports are all 1gb.
