I used to get 5ms ping to London (from Coventry), now I am being auto connected to Edinburugh and I get 15 ping to there, when I try to speedtest to London or even right next to me in Leicester I am getting pings above 22...I called in and they just said "they added new servers and there's nothing much we can do"...

any help?

Tested with just a laptop and/or a tv connected. It's just dead as far as streaming goes.

Have you tried with a wired connection, in case it's just a Wi-Fi problem?

If you can't stream from the major players (Prime, Netflix etc) there is definitely something wrong.

I always use a wired connection at home. 1Gbps tested to my NAS.

Going through the BBC I player logs the connection is made just fine but it sits there waiting for data.

A further test has just proved all my streaming services are fine over 4G

What happens it you try this test? Live stream test | SpotMe

Works fine on my 80Mbs FTTC connection. (as it should)

I get a picture of mountains, sound for a second then the rotating circle of death (buffering)

Something very wrong somewhere then, I wouldn't like to guess where.

I know you are on Superfast 100, is that with CityFibre or Openreach?

Have you tried with nothing connected, except the Vodafone router, and one wired device. If that can't stream, it has to be a problem in their network. Do you have any dedicated streaming devices like a Firestick?

It's fixed. All I did was switch routers to run that streaming test again and everything is back. I'm a happy bunny with an 8ms ping again.

The streaming test works, as does streaming from all my sources. I'm on the Leeds gateway

Let's hope you get to stay there. The near Edinburg one sound like it is crap.

That's great news, let's hope it stays that way!

I'd love to think someone was following this thread, took pity on how hard you've been flogging that dead horse and decided to pull their finger out and fix it for you. Who knows. But the main thing is that it's working as it should be.

I suspect you'll be monitoring your connection for a while, so do report back to confirm how things go.

I'm not going to look too far into it, you know what they say about gift horses. I'm just happy I've got the service I should have. Speed Tests to vodafone servers all over mainland uk are all hitting 108Mbps, streaming is good. Connected to the game server in london and I'm getting great pings from them. I'm even scoring A+ on a bufferbloat test so this is the best I'm ever going to get.

Is there anyone else still suffering the latency issue?
