Regular evening blip.

Has anyone else noticed this odd blip in their TBB quality monitor?  It occurs around 8.pm daily, but with no obvious effect on speed or latency, given that this is a peak time?  I would note that during the test the speed is more erratic than usual, fluctuating wildly up and down, but settling at just over 900Mb by the end of the test. The first occurrence was 14th March. Here's this evenings snapshot also showing the blip of the previous day.

The continuous packet loss at the top of the graph started yesterday at 1.00 am. A ping to BBC.co.uk shows no packet loss.

I don't know about anybody else, but the evening "blip" has largely disappeared for me for a few days now.

Nothing for the last 2 days. It only lasted about an hour the day before that but on the 13th it went from 5:30 to 11 pm. That evening City Fibre were having problems over the road with an installation. Probably coincidence but you never know if that was a factor.

I've been away for a few days in 4G not spot,  West Cornwall. 🙄 so I've not been checking  my VF broadband quality.  Currently, there is no evening blip, but on 12th April there was a whoppa!  I have no way of knowing if service was affected during the 6-hour period.

I posted that my extended blip was on the 13th. In fact it was also on the 12th and looked pretty much identical. Normal use ( Netflix etc) was not affected but I'd guess gamers would have had issues.

There was a shorter than normal blip on the 13th and then nothing since.

Hopefully a one off but we have a disturbance in the force. Let’s see how long it goes on for.

Can only hope as you say graph is awful and now got packetloss too

Started just after 5 and still going strong at 10pm. I'll contact them in the morning. Something to look forward to.

How does this work? My graph indicates a base latency over 30ms, yet I was getting 14ms to a game server.  I will test to BBC.co.uk  during this evening's blip.

Yes, it is a pretty substantial blip. Games were played, but unaffected during this time. A very acceptable ping of 14ms with a European Wolfenstein Enemy Territory was achieved,.

No blip this evening, just a scattering of unexplained spikes.
