Restricting access to wifi

Short of removing the router is there a way to stop new devices connecting to my WiFi? I know I can turn it off in the app, but would pressing the WiFi button on the actual router override this?? Thanks in advance.

You can disable the WiFi button in the routers firmware. Never actually tried it but I assume it works.

It's actually very easy. Log in to the router at http://192.168.1.1/ using the password on the bottom of the router, select WiFi and toggle it off. then press "Apply" at the bottom of the page.

It will be a little clearer once the picture has been moderated.
