Router keeps dropping connection

I wouldn't call myself a network guru but I'm quite comfortable with the basic stuff.

My internet keeps dropping off every 10m or so ....I reset and again I get a few minutes and boom no connection ........tbh my connection has never been reliable and experience dropout about 3 or 4 times a day but it's now no longer fit for purpose ......I have reset to factory default and updated firmware .....all cables etc have been swapped and tested ......I used the broadband system test and it says I am experiencing regular dropouts but it's trying to blame cables .....I'm sure it's the router .

I'm out of contract so am more than happy to switch providers if need be .....any advice for a noob .

You really need to contact Vodafone if your broadband is that bad, Call 08080 034 515 or use live chat. https://www.vodafone.co.uk/bbservcd/

Is it the router that's dropping from the internet or is it your network that's dropping

I'm not sure what the technical term is but after testing everything from cables and even a factory reset on the router I'm convinced the router is fried ........the router drops connection every 2 to 15 minutes and I loose both WiFi and the internet ........for some reason as well router keeps returning to its default password as well. I'm now on hour 38 of the promised 48h engineer .

If it is the router the engineer won't be able to do anything, but if they give the line a clean bill of health, you will need to chase Vodafone again.

Do you see the router rebooting when the line drops? ,

No I have to reboot manually

Certainly sounds like a faulty router then.
