THG3000 not issuing DHCP addresses after power outage

After a short power outage at 22:20 on the 3rd Nov, although the router has all white lights against internet, Wifi etc, it fails to generate DHCP addresses to locally connected devices and this also holds true for the WiFi also, thereby disallowing network access and I cannot find a way to access the management functions of the router to check further.

Has anyone else had similar issues with this model of router ?
Apart from a reset, which does not appear to have resolved the issues, (unless I did not hold down the button for long enough) are there any other suggestions available to me ?
Do I therefore have a faulty unit needing to be replaced ?

Regards

If you are able to log into the router, try a factory reset from there. If you can't log into the router it's probably faulty.

Thanks for the reply, however since no DHCP address has been applied, I am unable to access the management portal to perform a config reset

There's a recessed reset button at the back of the router. Hold it in for 10 seconds and the router will reboot to factory settings. Leave it a while though so it can download it's settings from the provisioning server.

Thanks Ripshod. I had tried this previously and it did not appear to work, so I tried this again and then left it until all lights went out and perhaps I was a little impatient the last time, however, this time, it appears to now have reset and the DHCP server allocates correctly, so thanks for the assist.

I'd be taking this opportunity to make sure there is nothing else on your network trying to assign IPs. Things to check first would include consoles, servers and NASes for an errant dhcp server.

Sorry. I didn't think it through when I posted. I was just trying to think of another way to factory reset it, if the button wasn't working.

Glad you dot there in the end..

If the ethernet ports and the UI are still working to some level then you should be able to gain access by setting "static" settings on a device within the normal range of the router.  So you'd static-set a PC via its adapter to IP:192.168.1.127 Subnet:255.255.255.0 Gateway:192.168.1.1
There's a slim chance that you'd have to try a couple of different IPs, but if it doesn't work then the router is probably toast!
