Using mercusys Halo H50G mesh router directly into the ONT and getting rid of vodafone router

Does anyone know if I can use my mercusys Halo H50G mesh router with vodafone full fibre and if so how?

Do I need to put any settings into my own Router when I connect the wan port to the ONT

Also, what item would I then need to connect to get my home VOIP phone service running

Unless things have changed, the H50G is a replacement WiFi system and not a full-blown router replacement.  If that is still the case then you'd need to plug it into the Vodafone router and not the ONT!

There's a how-to on YouTube and the manuals are not much help as everything is driven by an app on phone/tablet. It also looks like you need to have an account with Mercusys to even run the app to be able to manage your network, which is something I would not be comfortable with.
