Hi, looking for any help please.
Router Archer VR2800
I've recently joined Vodafone with their fibre service and alls working ok with the supplied router.
I've tried connecting my router, which I have used for the last 2 years.
I have my dsl info which I've asked for twice just to make it is correct but I cannot get my vr2800 to connect to the Internet at all. Tried hard reset too.
Does anyone know if im doing something wrong or is the vr2800 just not compatible with fibre to the home.
Thanks
Mark

You are literally a genius!
I was using it as a modem and router.
Switched to router only mode using the link you provided and now it works like magic.
Thank you so much

I've checked out the manual and it states that the system does support PPPoE and VLANID so in theory it would work.
As it's only AC1600 I'd use the system in AP mesh mode and keep the vodafone router to deal with WAN and everything else.

Its ac1900 so surely thats the same as the basic vodafone router?
its how I change the pppoe settings etc

We are already looking into this question in another thread.

Yep AC1900, that was a typo.
The THG 3000 is either 2200 or 3000, the specs haven't been published officially anywhere.
PPPoE settings are given freely by vodafone and I've always found it better to contact them through chat
