Just like to share with the community about a tip on connecting your existing phone line to the back of the vodafone router (THG3000) for Voice Over IP.

Most phones come with a BT phone plug whereas the phone socket at the back of the vodafone hub is a standard RJ11 phone socket. In order to connect the BT plug to RJ11 phone socket, we need an adaptor which most users would have to source from elsewhere.

In fact all you need to connect your exisiting phone with BT phone plug to the back of the router are already included with the accessories that come with your vodafone hub. There is a cable labelled "internet" which is a standard phone cable with RJ11 plugs on both ends. Plug one end of the cable to the back of the vodafone hub (Green RJ11 socket) and the other end to the RJ11 socket of the ADSL filter that comes with the hub. To complete the connection, plug your phone that comes with a BT plug to the BT phone socket on the ADSL filter.

This works for me. Please let me know if you have similar success in using the provided ADSL filter as a coupler to connect your phone to the hub.
