I am just curious to know I understand your old phone won't work on a 3rd party router I do understand you need the Vodafone WiFi Hub for your old phone AKA phone adaptor. But I was reading about digital phone from Vodafone can you use a digital phone on a 3rd party router since a digital phone uses Ethernet.

If you could give us a link to the phone you're asking about. we can probably answer your question.
However any VoIP phone will work with a 3rd party router, just not with the supplied Vodafone "landline" service.
However some people have managed to get Grandstream devices to work with the Vodafone service.

Sorry I read it wrong It was the name I got me all confused because Vodafone calls it VoIP when they called digital voice I got confused I thought it was a different setup like using the Ethernet connection. Instead of RJ11 port on the router it’s a wee shame you don’t supply a phone adapter that uses Ethernet connection instead. I don’t like the idea that I am forced into using the Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub just for a phone me personally I wouldn’t want it but my elderly mother is 70 and she need the landline as she doesn’t want a mobile phone.

I tried to use VF's VoIP service through my third party router, but lacking a suitable phone socket prevented this. The other obstacle would be a lack of available username and password for the service. VF said they couldn't provide that. Nowhere in the forums could I find anyone who had had any success.
Because my old landline number was plagued by unsolicited calls from offshore, ( 10 or more a day), I gave up and opted to go with a VoIP provider. There are many out there. The phone system they provided runs through a standard ethernet socket. My new phone number has the same area code as my old number and there were plenty numbers to choose from.
bOnline is the outfit I chose on price - £7.00 monthly plus the price of their kit. They are very responsive with setup, configuration and troubleshooting. Here's some recommended ones for residential clients. https://uk.pcmag.com/internet-telephony-voip/132588/finally-ditch-that-landline-the-best-voip-home-p...

Although it is now possible to use the Vodafone service via your own router. (but needs extra kit from Grandstream)

I do wonder why people bother as it has basically no useful features, and call cost are comparatively expensive. (O.K. if you just want to receive calls I suppose)
A proper VOiP service would be so much better.

Even if Granstream had been available when I was setting up, I doubt if I would have gone for it. Only a full service with the ability to block calls might have tempted me.
For the same price as VF's very basic phone service I get so much more - voicemail, call blocking, contacts list, call history, conferencing, softphone, call forwarding, HD calls, voicemail to email, call queueing and more. The functions are designed for a small business, but why not have all that if the price is no higher than VF's abysmal offering?
