So, I have a new work laptop and have a strange fault that keeps happening.
Intermittently, the broadband connection just cuts out for a couple of minutes (although WiFi remains connected). It only happens with my work laptop but I can't find a discernible reason why it happens.
I've checked the logs on the router and found the following at the time of the disconnection:
06.03.2023 16:11:17 system Error Failed to send DHCPV6 message to ff02::1:2 (Permission denied) 06.03.2023 16:11:15 system Warning 2023/03/06 16:11:15 [warn] 6444#0: *5384 [lua] session.lua:103: changeUser(): changing user to vodafone 06.03.2023 16:11:05 system Error 2023/03/06 16:11:05 [error] 6444#0: *5384 [lua] sessionmgr.lua:607: handleAuth(): Failed logon attempt for user vodafone 06.03.2023 16:10:53 system Error 2023/03/06 16:10:53 [error] 6444#0: *5384 [lua] sessionmgr.lua:262: redirectIfNotAuthorized(): Unauthorized request 06.03.2023 16:10:52 lan Info DHCPOFFER(br-lan) xx.xx.x.xx 00:5f:67:32:38:76 06.03.2023 16:10:52 lan Info DHCPDISCOVER(br-lan) xxx.xxx.xx.xx 00:5f:67:32:38:76 06.03.2023 16:10:52 system Error 2023/03/06 16:10:52 [error] 6444#0: *5383 [lua] sessionmgr.lua:262: redirectIfNotAuthorized(): Unauthorized request 06.03.2023 16:10:52 system Warning 2023/03/06 16:10:52 [warn] 6444#0: *5383 [lua] session.lua:354: new(): new session for default user
The exact same sequence comes up multiple.times.

And just in case it looked like it was at a regular time...

Basically, it looks like it keeps starting a 'new session for default user' which then causes me to lose my connection. Anyone know what is actually happening and how to fix it, please?

@deusxm Assuming that you are not connecting to work by VPN, then the V6 messages are because Vodafone are not doing IPv6 at the present. If you are connecting to a work VPN, then it could be that it has dropped for a moment and until it re-establishes the IPv6 is being handled by the router. Turn off the IPv6 in the router and see if that makes things better for you.
In the middle log you are showing your router's public IP address, it probably a good idea to edit that out.

Thanks for the tips - both on IPv6 and public IP, I'd missed that putting it in. Have tried disabling it on the router and will see how I get on. Cheers!

Just as a heads up, with this being a works laptop I'd just check that it's not been set up with any additional local authentication for when you are on site as this can sometimes cause issues when NOT on site.
