Hi, I've purchased a Vodafone K5161z dongle as a backup internet connection for when my fibre goes down, now the only problem is, this dongle kicks out the exact same IP range that I use on my entire network, 192.168.0.0/24,
My previous dongle K4201-Z burned out and used 192.168.9.0/24 so that was no problem, but now this Vodafone K5161z uses my LAN IP range, so I urgently have to change the IP range of this Vodafone K5161z dongle, but I see no settings in its basic control panel that can be access on 192.168.0.1 via web browser, please help!? ....this is a complete mess!!!

@Jaylie It may be a firmware issue, see https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Broadband-connection/Hub-and-Dongle-IP-conflict/m-p/2702212
However, if you search this forum for the dongle there are quite a number of discussions that also may be worth reading too.

@Cynric Hi, I've already read that entire thread before posting my thread and searched other threads on this forum.
That thread you mentioned end up being all about Wi-Fi and a Vodafone THG3000 device according to my understanding
My Vodafone K5161z dongle is just a straight up USB 4G device

@Jaylie Are you trying to use it as a fail-over device for when the broadband drops out? The you have to re-connect your device manually. It's not being sold by VF as a fail-over solution.
If you want a fail-over solution for the whole of your LAN then you need a 4G/5G USB device that plugs into the router.

Yes, I want to use a fail-over device just like I have with my previous one that worked perfectly fine, that is correct, but this K5161z dongle have the same IP range then my entire LAN, so I desperately need to get into the network settings on that K5161z dongle itself somehow seeing that it is also a little router itself with its own DHCP server and everything.
I've been using these dongles for ages as a fail-over device, its nothing new to me works perfect!, I just have a K5161z device that doesn't allow me to edit the stupid network settings, as my previous one (K4201-Z) was already set on 192.168.9.0/24 so I had nothin to complain about as it didn't interfere with any of my used ranges, so I didnt needed to change that IP address range, that can also not been done
So I need to get access into the device somehow that will allow me to edit the files on the device or something

Do you have static IPs or IP reservations set up? If not it's a simple job to change the local network IP on the router.

I've got a massive network running on my 192.168.0.0/24 range with servers and others routers and static and dynamic IP's, so I'm not going to change my LAN range.

@Jaylie- did you find a solution? I have the same issue. I can't find any DHCP settings in the admin interface for the dongle, but wondered if it was possible to SSH in and redefine them as root somehow...?
