Vodafone broadband keeps dropping out.

The internet cuts out for about 60 seconds then comes back.

This can happen up to about 20 times a day!

I have had the same problem in 2 different addresses. in different cities.

That's 2 different routers on completely different accounts.

One is mine and one is my mum's.

But exactly the same problem on both.

The internet cuts out for about 60 seconds then comes back. At least 4 times a day, EVERY DAY!

They sent an engineer to me today and he said he can’t detect a problem with the wifi or the line.

So this is a problem with the actual network right?

Has anyone actually had this problem solved because i've been reading through the same complaints on this forum for hours and seen no fix... The only fix i've seen is people managing to terminate their contract with vodafone.

I'm not even interested in a reply from the vodafone admins on this forum. I doubt they even use vodafone broadband themselves.

I just want to know if anyone has actually had this problem resolved…

PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Hi

Common factors?

""So this is a problem with the actual network right?""

Could be.

Might be the device and/or operating system, a flaky W10 for instance?

Dodgy Wi-Fi driver etc etc.

I Had a very similar fault and the first Openreach engineer said the same, however the second engineer said although all the tests passed there were "anomalies" on the fibre. After doing some more tests at the cabinet he swapped me to another fibre and I have been O.K. since. Some OR engineers are more thorough than others. Took 3 months to get it fixed though.

Yes it happens all the time, well all the time since like March/April when lockdown started. They can give no explanation, have changed the router ...... when I raised the roof. That too did nothing.
Now the app, despite being paired, stops taling to the router every time you open the app.
On disconnecting, this is the exact same thing as SKY did, reconfirming you are who you say you are, and, it should not affect platforms, but does. Course Vodafone have never admitted this.
Truely cannot wait til the contract ends. Service is not good!

Also cannot update the FIRMWARE on the router as that always fails.

Just a message to all those answers on this thread

I have the same and without a doubt it has to be in my case a Vodafone issue because I was with by for 4 years not one issue and the day I switched to Vodafone I get dropout and disconnect from the same devices that worked 100% with BT

I have the router 2m from devices and the signal strength is garbage

you can be watching Prime or Netflix and suddenly the TV disconnect same with tablet and laptop

half the day the web is like dial up speed and you can do speed test all day and get poor one minute good the next

I’m getting better from my phone 4G
