Vodafone broadband now not working with BT Wifi extendre

After 2 years of working perfectly fine my Vodafone broadband connection has stopped automatically connecting with my BT WIFI extender 1200 version (compatible with all non-BT routers).  Extender nor router have been moved. I am using iPhone SE to log onto the extender network.
