Vodafone smart hub issues since joining FFibre!

Has anyone else suffered the constant issues of Wi-Fi degregation, loss of device connection and its strength to reach a device that is only 6 metres away?

Has anyone had customer service tell them that it’s not Vodafone’s problem the smart hub they provide you won’t pick up your devices even from such a short distance?

Has anyone had to reinstall the connected devices it does finally connect to due to the router failing/freezing and HBB line 2 telling you that they need to reset the router to factory setting, with a total promise that this will cure the problem?

Had anyone spent over 9 hrs on 12 seperate calls to vodafone to request them time and again to address the issues you keep having?

WELL IF YOU HAVE THEN WELCOME TO THE CLUB. ( ALL OF THE ABOVE IN ONLY 30 DAYS AS A CUSTOMER )

Hey @Dazz-1966 I hope you're doing well. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your broadband. Please reach out to the dedicated Broadband team again on 0333 304 0191 or via LiveChat so this can be looked into for you.

Thank you for your reply to my  worded concerns and issues suffered to date. I have spoken with all areas of Vodafone and have ended up having to upgrade my plan at extra cost to address the WiFi reception issues and loss of control of the router and the connected devices.. not only have I had to increase my plan I have also possibly lost my switch incentive of £95 from gift cloud. To be honest after 4.30 hrs on call with Vodafone yesterday has totally worn me out and I still don’t know if the upgrade will work. Times are hard enough and budgeting is really necessary, I don’t mind admitting, it’s really tough these days.

As long as you upgrade and not cancel and restart, you should not have problem with Giftcloud.

So are you upgrading from standard broadband to Pro II?

Yes full fibre 100 to Pro11 500 so not the plan the £95 was related to but I did complete the install of ff100  and ran it for over a month so in reality I have honoured what was request re the purchase and install of the original product. I just don’t understand why talk talks router on copper cable running at 57mps speeds never caused any issues with connection or speeds. Moving to FF100 and being told prior to the plan purchase by Vodafone that I will not have any issues only improvement on what I was getting with talktalk. Obviously I was sold a complete Lemon.

Not a lemon at all. FTTP 100 should be better than FTTC,

From your posts you seemed to be having a problem with the Wi-Fi from the THG3000  Vodafone router, which could simply be a faulty router, but the only way to be sure would be to try another one.

Moving to Pro you will get the Ultra router so that should resolve the Wi-Fi problem, if it was that the THG3000 is faulty. (I'm not saying it is faulty, just that it's a possibility)

Yep, I know fftp should exceed the fftc on the plan I had and it would have been enough but Vodafone kept saying their end everything is fine where my end it wasn’t and they wouldn’t forward a replacement on that basis..head and wall comes to mind!!
