Wired connection through Phone socket?

Hi All,

I have just moved house and trying to set up working from home.

My Vodafone fibre hub is plugged directly into the BT fibre port via a cat5 cable so the wifi works fine.

In the study I only have access to a BT Socket.

In the cupboard where the router is an RJ11 socket which can go into the router (RJ11 -RJ11) and also a BT Socket next to it. Alternatively could go RJ11 into microfilter into BT Socket

Can I go from RJ11 -> BT Socket (from the router to the wall) inside the cupboard. Then BT Socket – RJ45 in back of computer in the study? Or how can I do it so that i have a wired connection in my study?

No, you can't do what you are proposing (if I understand it correctly)

The RJ11 socket on the router is an input for a DSL connection, you can't connect anything else to it.

You will need an ethernet cable if you want a wired connection in your study.

Although you could try powerline adapters, I personally don't like them, but they seem to work well for some people.
