I am on Vodafone fibre so just under a year and no problems getting 10mbps but over the last 5 days I am getting terrible performance on YouTube on wifi on all devices. It either buffers, doesn’t play video and occasionally I get a period of a few minutes with no problems.
I have rebooted router and reset firmware and spoke to Vodafone but no solution. If I connect to mobile data all is good, and all other streaming video sites work fantastic and my wifi speed is always good. Any ideas?

I am chatting with Vodafone (as I am using a standard router with no modifications) and still no improvements.
how can I link back in this forum thread so that the person I speak to has al the necessary information and evidence that it is a shared issue?
thanks

I guess I'm going to have to take one for the team then. Not at all happy about having to spend £10 to purchase the Vodafone router solely to diagnose something completely unrelated to my line.
And it was a complete !#@$ show trying to get through Tobi to actually speak to somebody on live chat to provision the router.
It's connected and connected to the internet. Waiting for the Twitter team to take an eternity to acknowledge it and/or complete security veification so they can even start doing something. 24hours or so between replies is absolutely not helpful when trying to actively help to resolve this issue.

What happened to your original router? Unfortunately i doubt having the Vodafone router will get you any further forward, as there seem to be a lot of people with the same problem.
If you do use live chat again, this link will bypass Tobi. https://www.vodafone.co.uk/bbservcd/

I've had a significantly better router for a long while so I had no use for the original router and didn't forsee them not being able to troubleshoot issues with their network / gateways (or other, completely unrelated to my equipment/line) without having their equipment plugged in at my end. Go figure. So in the bin it went.
I don't expect for the issue to be resolved by switching to their crappy router, but the Twitter DM responses have repeatedly told me that the tech team need for their router to be installed to diagnose it. God knows why.
Appreciate the link though!

Anyone else on Vodafone / Voxi for mobile network now experiencing this same issue over mobile data?
Edit: Slight update regarding raising the issue. Finally had it raised although it was again mentioned "probably a YouTube issue" 🥲 but at least it's raised

It is like pulling teeth, I dislike dealing with people who think the internet only exists because of social media media and never existed before it.

It’s a wider Google issue, others have reported issues installing apps from the play store and I have also noticed Google shopping ads in search results also not working, until you bypass VF with a VPN that is.

Absolutely. But to be clear to those reading this in future it's a wider Google issue that seems specific to Vodafone users.

Having the same issue was trying to use YT music on my Ipad last night and it was just not working kids been complaining for weeks that Youtube has been slow.
Using my own router and been meaning to try the original one which is still boxed but looking back at this thread it don't look like its going to help.
hopefully VodaPhone will look into it and sort.

Yeah don't waste your time trying the original router as it makes no difference sadly 👍🏻
