I am on Vodafone fibre so just under a year and no problems getting 10mbps but over the last 5 days I am getting terrible performance on YouTube on wifi on all devices. It either buffers, doesn’t play video and occasionally I get a period of a few minutes with no problems.
I have rebooted router and reset firmware and spoke to Vodafone but no solution. If I connect to mobile data all is good, and all other streaming video sites work fantastic and my wifi speed is always good. Any ideas?

@JayachI can fully believe how they haven't fixed it yet with how much of a #@£! show it's been trying to so much as communicate it with them.
I predict this will still be an issue long after I find out whether Gigaclear requires a hefty installation fee for my place.
Either way, I'm off to Gigaclear or BT after I find out. This experience has put me off Vodafone broadband for life.

I've always wondered about Vodafone's network engineer's, but after this I seriously doubt they have any.

@Gemma if you are a Vodafone member, I urge you to connect with the appropriate authority with Vodafone to move this issue to the highest priority (P1 priority) as the problem has been reported and not fixed for almost a month.
I am sure by now, Vodafone technical team must have a good grasp of the reported problem and probably don’t need more evident for the customers.
What we need is a status update on what the technical team have been doing since the problem was reported, and regular (daily) status update on what has been done to deep dive the problem to get the issue resolved, continue to provide regular status update until the issue is fixed.
M any other speak would be a waste of time, and an impression the Vodafone is incompetent in managing customer satisfaction, Vodafone has no clue how to work to fix the reported problem.
No doubt there are frustrated customers looking to change supplier at the earlier possible opportunity !

Just commenting to add that I'm having the same issue. For me the bigger concern is inability to download or update apps via Google Play but I just tested YouTube on my PC with an Ethernet connection and going out via the Vodafone network I counted 22 'loops' of the buffering/loading icon before the video played. However, the rest of the page loaded near-instantly. When using a VPN I don't see the buffering icon at all or it vanishes imperceptibly quickly. I have also noticed slow video loads via on my mobile phone in recent days, I haven't counted exactly but I'd guess about a 15 second delay on average when accessing YouTube via my home broadband.
I'm based in Cornwall, so not that close to Cirencester, but being further South West maybe its related in terms of network topology?!

I’m located in West Yorkshire so I don’t think it’s geographical

I’m experiencing exactly same issues. Some YT videos play , some don’t and others with get stuck buffering for few minutes before eventually playing. Never had this issue before and It’s been going in for about a month now, just out it nowhere. I’m based in Weymouth(south west coast). Done all the standard troubleshooting and problem still persists. All devices are affected. iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Google tv , gaming consoles. The minute I switch wifi off and use 4g, problem goes away. I’ve even tested YouTube at my mother-in-laws as she is also with Vodafone and works as it should at hers. Tested on multiple public Wi-Fi’s and no issues. Even kids YouTube is playing up!
This is extremely frustrating, as my household uses YouTube daily!

I'm glad I found this forum. I have the same issue with Youtube on any device in my house. I thought I was the only one! When I have tested on other peoples Wifi all working perfectly! I hope Vodafone sort this out soon!!

I wonder if everybody who has this problem could give us their gateway address, to try to see if there is some commonality, perhaps narrow it down to one datacentre.
You can find it in the router.
I don't have the problem.

Anecdotal I know but there seems to be a correlation in the South West, I'm Cornwall.
