Hey,
The automod removed this post - I have just restored it. Sorry about that.
As for your post, - I too have gigafast and have found it to be flawless, however - the router they give you is utter crap, so I have replaced the router with a much better setup. You will almost never get a full 900 mbps on wifi using any router setup unless you fancy paying a few hundred for a wifi6 router.
I pay for the 500mbps service. IMHO all services above 200 mbps are a bit of a con, because its unlikely you will ever use all that bandwidth at once. I guess you would only benefit if you have 10 people all doing their thing separately in your house.

My Gigafast experience using WiFi 6 via my GT-AX11000, is that I never get 900Mb , not even within 1 meter of the router. I wouldn't expect to either. The most I get is 850Mb (usually 700Mb), whereas via ethernet I get 942Mb in off-peak times. Given that I have all four of my Aimesh routers linked by ethernet around the house and all the PCs, the media server and TV Boxes similarly connected, we only use WiFi for phones, netbooks, the printer and IP timer plugs.
My main reason for requiring a symmetrical 900Mb connection, is twofold.
1) Downloading a 10Gb torrent file, from a torrent with lots of seeders, takes only a couple of minutes. This means that I am only caning shared neighbourhood resources for a very short time. Anyway, it is fantastic to download stuff so quickly.
2) I run a free Plex server for about 100 clients. If 10 or more are streaming 4K media at the same time they can soak up >300Mb upstream. This is why I left Virgin's top tier with only 50Mb upstream! I suppose I could manage with a symmetrical 500Mb most of the time, but it is handy to have the leeway when there's 4 adults in the house.
