On CityFibre 900 and speeds are near unusable. Switched to the mobile dongle and they were even worse.

What is going on?

Absolutely not, you can't go to Vodafone direct, it has to be via Openreach or CityFibre.

They must have a better deal with Openreach then as voda were offering me an even lower monthly sub than i was getting from Cityfibre.I was too far down the line to change by the time they made the offer so went with Cityfibre.

I got an interesting call from Vodafone... just "I fixed it on my end. Call back if the issue happens again." No further detail.

However, for my sister, they told her to go through the "take screenshots 3 times a day, do a router traceroute" thing.

I got a call today today too asked me to do the same 3 screenshots of speeds.

I've received the same advice from VF tech support this morning. Take pictures of a laptop directly hardwired into the router with wifi switched off during peak hours where download speeds are rubbish.and then email their hbbexperts@vodafone.com with the evidence so that they can log it with Cityfiber. Also wanted a screenshot of the router admin page to prove wifi is off. They said it would be a good idea to do this a few times about an hour a part so that it's not seen as a one off abnormal reading. Think I'll do this from now as it builds up the required evidence to leave the contract without paying an early exit fee as the their SLA (minimum 250 DL speeds 24/7) has been breached.

Do you have a link to the SLA?  Save me hunting.
I have months worth of data from regular speed tests which I can send to them
