On CityFibre 900 and speeds are near unusable. Switched to the mobile dongle and they were even worse.
What is going on?

Thanks for keeping us updated on what you see too.
For some strange reason, I've not been affected recently. Seems to be random batches of users it affects.
If they acknowledged the issue and gave us a plan I'd feel much better, but when I call/write, I get told there are no other reports of issues and it must be my cables etc. I let my most recent complaint close because they wanted to go through the whole technical investigation of my equipment from scratch again and I really don't have the willpower to go through it a third time when I know it's fruitless.
If this really was infrastructure, rather than Vodafone, I'd expect to see similar reports on other providers but so far, it's still just Vodafone.
I guess we just need to keep up the reports until it flags up high enough on their radar to fix.
Considering paying the remaining 15 months cancellation fee and giving Zen a go too.

Another rough night for you guys by any chance? Think it's my turn now - had to use a VPN just to get this forum to load.
Anyone any further through the fixing process with Vodafone?

Mine was good for a couple of weeks but has just gone to ** again tonight... Time for another ticket and some more interminable support calls. Yay. Roll on November so I can get away from VF!

I'm getting 500Mb down (out of 900Mb) which is unusually good for these flaky periods, but completely unmanageable ping and packet loss. Games are freezing for seconds at a time and resuming, in an endless loop, huge spikes of loss. Websites are taking an age to load, an sometimes not loading at all (but the VPN helps with that part).
I'd be interested to hear what your experience with Zen is like. I may have to dip into the Aberdeen Reddit and see if anyone has ever had these issues. I'd be paying 15+ months cancellation fee so I better make sure it's worth it!

vodafone.co.uk/broadbandservicetest and get a ticket open. It's the only way they'll do anything.
Evidently they have issues in their network which they won't tell us about. I suspect they're shuffling bandwidth around and seeing who squeals first...
150gig update came down beautifully last night too!

Judging from the responses I'm getting on Reddit, the issue should be completely resolved if you move to Zen. It would appear this is purely a Vodafone issue and nothing to do with CityFibre. Someone moved from Vodafone to TalkTalk and it resolved the issue.

Yes it's even worse than usual, I'm literally struggling to get 5mbps download, every webpage is buffering for me when loading!! 0 acknowledgment of the issue from anyone on vodafone side even though it seems to be affecting a group of people..

I had it open, took longer than I thought it would and had to leave on holidays, so ticket is gone now and I'm not interested in getting through another 5 phone calls and 3 internet tests just for them to tell me it's something on their end, if things dont improve soon we'll just move to different ISP

I only once got them to acknowledge that CityFibre were having an issue and that it would be fixed in July (it was May at the time). Since then, they've denied ever telling me this and say they have no knowledge of any fix.
I'm always raising tickets every night this happens trying to get this on someone's radar... please help us out by doing the same whenever you can. Even go through the "raise a complaint" channel if you can, they need to start seeing a pattern before they'll act. And of course, let us know if you hear anything juicy.
