Gigafast landline is outgoing only

I’ve finally (after 3 months and many hours of support) had my fttp installed. About 5mins after openreach left the broadband came up. So far so good.

I had to get hold of the rj11 to phone connector myself (vf docs say the installer will supply one, but he didn’t expect that and didn’t have the required connector anyway)

 

I have a dial tone and can see it has the correct callerid (same old number from plusnet who were my previous supplier)

However incoming calls do not ring on the new line, they ring on the old phone. (The old line is fully working with incoming, outgoing calls and still working broadband).

I can login to my vf account but it shows as active but with no services.

Chat support say the installation isn’t complete but will be at midnight.


Midnight comes and goes once more and nothing changes. It feels like the chat support people don’t really know what is going on so just say “midnight” so they can chalk up a successful call.

 

Anybody have advice on who I should contact that can help?


One other thing - I’ve had an email from plusnet who are pleased that my cancellation of their contract has stopped. Which I certainly didn’t do.
