Is there any way my phone will work without being directly plugged into the router?

At present I am with BT full fibre and  have my main phone connected remotely to the router connecting the phone to a plug in another room - I think this is called a digital voice adapter. I am planning to switch to Vodafone and I was wondering is there is anything similar I can use as it is not suitable to connect the phone by plugging it in directly to the router because of the location of the latter. I have been looking online and cannot find anything so I would be grateful if anyone can give me any suggestions how this can be done.

See if you can plug a DECT base station into the router then you don't need to run cables etc. It will use one electric socket.

My husband has just managed to drill holes through walls so all is sorted, thanks.

That would have been my preferred solution.

Which bt router do you have? Want to work out if this is VRI or just a normal extension.

The problem is sorted, thanks
