Hoping someone can direct me to the right place
My bill starting 22 of April has started to show calls my landline is making - some to a talking clock and some to various local lines 123111 and similar numbers
I have spoken to the support chat and they have credited the talking clock charges as they agree this isn't me but the other calls at similar times and only to local numbers they are insisting are me even though I don't have use or even own a landline phone
I have tried escalating to a manager but they are saying the same thing - talking clock can be credited but all the local calls are to be charged. £25 worth this month so far!

Hiya it did but I had to use the chat feature daily and also chase them down on twitter over a couple weeks because the customer service team just kept telling me there was nothing they could do and that it was me making the calls.
I think eventually BT must have admitted they were using my line to carry out tests and it was credited. Vodafone also have put a block on the number from making any charged calls so it can't happen again
Good luck

We've been taught to use 17070 on openreach connections, but I suppose there's still some old-skool engineers out there. Surely though they'd have been told by now, it's fast dial 1 on our handsets.

I had a similar issue. I changed SIM contract to Vodafone and someone called me and left a voicemail. I received a text saying I had a new voicemail I had a list of texts under "Voicemail" from my previous provider and a new text message from Vodafone. I clicked the number to listen to the message but I clicked the number from an old text from my previous provider. The number it dialled was either 12301 or 12364, the call went through to the speaking clock, I now have a £2.08 charge from Vodafone for out of plan calls.
