VOIP: No Dial Tone - But can receive calls

broadband_user
4: Newbie

Hi,

Moved to Vodafone about 2 weeks ago. Openreach came round and installed the router. Everything OK. Checked I had a dial tone, and could make and receive calls. I'm on Fibre2 with VOIP.

Today, no dial tone and cannot make outgoing calls. Just hear silence when lifting the handset.

I can receive calls though, and the phone rings.

VOX3 Router.

White 'phone' light illuminated on the router, and flashes when I receive a call.

Tried 2 different phones, one at a time, into the phone adapter cable that comes with the router.

Router admin page shows the phone line and number set up.

Everything is connected correctly, as you would expect because my setup was working when Openreach came round to set it up. It's just stopped working.

Anyone else had this problem? What was the solution?

Thanks.

Hey @broadband_user I hope you're well! This certainly sounds like a very frustrating issue to have. So we can run some checks on your service, please either drop the Social Media team a message here or call the dedicated Broadband team on 08080 034 515

The tech support team did something to my router and then asked me to reboot it. That fixed it. Regards.
