I have a relative that having colossal problems with Digital Voice. She's been without a phone for 2 weeks since you upgraded her line. She's been told to buy a VOIP phone but has had no other help. Question is a) is this true does she need a VOIP phone and if so what phones work with Vodafone Digital Voice, and b) if this is not true what phones will work with her router. She's been sent adapters but she's been told her original phone is too old for them to work.

😂It might as well have been that as they've sent her adapters that are male at both ends!!!!

Thanks @UltraCats , it'll be a while before your picture is moderated, but I look forward to seeing it.

Vodafone have sent her the wrong cable @UltraCats. It doesn't look like that the BT jack end should be a female connector.

Yes it does appear to be a RJ11 to BT adapter, but as @VFbroadbanduser says, the BT end should be a socket.

I have to say, I can't think of any possible use for an adapter cable like that.

Is your relatives phone working now?

All sorted once I’d sent her the proper one! I don’t think the help desk have any idea what they are send people 😂😂

I've had no landline since thursday 12th october, it's twin digital phones I have ...theres a message on the screen...line cord error. I 've contacted vodaphone and chatted with 3 different people, I asked them if the switch over had happened in my area...I was told that when it happened I would be sent what I needed for it...everytime I chatted , I had to go through all the security details...they tested my line...said someone would contact me...gave me a fault number someone did contact me on my mobile, I couldn't hear her...I asked her to send a text   with  number on it  then a mail voice spoke  sent me a message which I didn't understand...he wanted me to take a photo of the back of my phone...at this time I was losing the will to live...told him I'd had enough and I would be cancelling my contract with vodafone.  now after reading  the posts  I'm convinced it's to do with this switch over..

@cathym

It's unlikely Vodafone have switched you to digital voice, unless you have recently joined or renewed your contract. (or the area you live has had it's connection to the PSTN (Public switched telephone network) terminated.

So if you tell us what service you have (FTTC or FTTP) and how you are connecting the phone, we may be able to assist.
