I have a relative that having colossal problems with Digital Voice. She's been without a phone for 2 weeks since you upgraded her line. She's been told to buy a VOIP phone but has had no other help. Question is a) is this true does she need a VOIP phone and if so what phones work with Vodafone Digital Voice, and b) if this is not true what phones will work with her router. She's been sent adapters but she's been told her original phone is too old for them to work.

hi, I don't have fibre ...just superfast...my phone is connected to an ADSL in a wall socket, my broadband is fine . I have changed the adsl and tried another phone in the main socket but it doesn't work. I've had this message line cord error before, but usually if I lift the phone and replace it on the base it's fine...thanks

I presume from what you are saying, your DECT base station is connected to a the BT/Openreach phone socket, possibly via a filter along with your router.

That says there is a fault in the base station itself, or more likely the connection where the cable joins it, Try giving that a "wiggle".
Most likely the cable has a fracture internally.

I had new phones delivered today twins bt 4600 they take 16 hours to charge so fingers crossed , I wont know till tomorrow
