Issues using K5161 usb modem with a Draytek 2762

I've been given this usb modem and router to setup for a friend who isn't tech savvy.

For the life of me I just can't get this to work. The modem works in my laptop, but in the router it doesn't work.

Under DHCP the router doesn't recognise the USB modem and under PPP nothing happens at all.

Are there any setting changes i need to make on the modem settings to get this working?

Although the modem isnt on Drayteks recognised list the previous model is (k5160).

Hi @jag80, have you ever used the mobile broadband device before with a Vodafone SIM Card? If this is the first time you have used the service, the SIM Card may need activating here 🙂

Hi, I have the same problems, cannot get a K5161 to work with the Draytek 2862. Did you ever get it to work?

Nope, i ended up buying from amazon the previous model dongle which worked staright away!
