I would start with this link: Getting started with mobile broadband
You don't mention the type of SIM you are using, if this is a data SIM you need to purchase a data pack. The SIM will activate for mobile broadband when it makes a connection to the internet.
If you still have problems start a web chat and the Team will guide you through the process.

I have a Sim card and use a modem for 5G internet(Dlink DWR-2101) It was just working fine till I call Vodafone regarding my low speed so the advisor applied a bar and removed it after that I never got signals on the Modem!!!
and the Sim just working on the Phone! Not sure what's the problem but I have been talking so many times to Vodafone and nobody could solve it! they sent me a new Sim ! I replaced my modem and got a brand new one!
none of these solve the problem. They told me to update the firmware of the modem it did not work at all!
Please help me out with this if there is any solution for that!

Tips to fix-
Reboot or Shut Down Your Phone.
Switch Your SIM Card On.
Change the Network Mode to Auto.
Choose the Correct Network Operator.
Enter Your Network APN Settings Manually.
Remove the SIM Card and Battery.
Try Using Your Phone in Safe Mode.
Airplane Mode Solution.
